Norwegian cuisine is shaped by the country’s cold climate, long coastline, and deep-rooted traditions. It features seafood like salmon and cod, as well as dishes based on potatoes, bread, dairy, and wild game. Traditional foods include rakfisk (fermented fish), fårikål (mutton and cabbage stew), and brunost (brown cheese). Norwegian meals are often simple, hearty, and closely tied to nature and the seasons.

La cuisine norvégienne est influencée par le climat froid, le long littoral et les traditions anciennes du pays. Elle met en avant les produits de la mer comme le saumon et la morue, ainsi que
des plats à base de pommes de terre, de pain, de produits laitiers et de gibier. Parmi les spécialités traditionnelles figurent le rakfisk (poisson fermenté), le fårikål (ragoût de mouton et
chou) et le brunost (fromage brun). Les repas norvégiens sont souvent simples, copieux et en lien étroit avec la nature et les saisons.
