Sri Lankan cuisine is known for its bold flavors, fragrant spices, and rich variety. Rice and curry is the staple meal, often accompanied by lentils, coconut sambol, and a variety of vegetable and meat dishes. The use of ingredients like coconut milk, chili, cinnamon, and curry leaves gives Sri Lankan food its unique taste. Street food such as kottu roti and hoppers are also very popular across the island.

La cuisine sri-lankaise est réputée pour ses saveurs intenses, ses épices parfumées et sa grande variété. Le riz au curry est le plat de base, souvent accompagné de lentilles, de sambol à la noix
de coco et de divers plats de légumes et de viandes. L'utilisation d'ingrédients comme le lait de coco, le piment, la cannelle et les feuilles de curry donne à la cuisine sri-lankaise son goût
distinctif. La street food comme le kottu roti et les hoppers est également très populaire sur l'île.

ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ආහාර සංස්කෘතිය රසවත්ම සහ මසුරු සුගන්ධ ද්රව්යවලින් සපිරි විවිධත්වයකින් යුක්ත වේ. බත් සහ කරි ප්රධාන ආහාර වේ, සාමාන්යයෙන් පරිප්පු, පොල් සම්බෝල සහ එළවළු හා මස් කෑමන් සමඟ අනුභව කෙරේ. පොල් කිරි, මිරිස්, කරාබුනැටි සහ කරිපිංචා වැනි ද්රව්ය භාවිතය ශ්රී ලාංකීය ආහාරයට විශේෂ රසයක් ලබා දේ. කොට්ටු රොටි සහ ආප්ප වැනි වීථි ආහාරද දිවයින පුරා ජනප්රිය වේ.»
